Anna's Best Ever Garlic Potato Mash

Takes approx 20 minutes and serves four.

Ingredients
  • 900 g floury Potatoes, such as King Edwards
    or Maris Piper
  • 4 x sachets of Kerrymaid Garlic Butter
  • 100ml hot Milk to give a fluffier mash
  • Salt

Method

Wash and peel the potatoes then place them in a large pan of cold water. Bring to the boil, salt the water and cover the pan with its lid. Keep boiling the water until the potatoes are tender, this should take about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile gently heat the milk in a saucepan for about two minutes. Make sure the milk is warm, not boiling.

Once the potatoes are tender, drain them and return them to the pan. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Once rid of any lumps, pour in the milk and add 3-4 sachets of Kerrymaid Garlic Butter. You may also want to add more salt.

Quickly beat the potato mixture with a wooden spoon and serve the mash while still hot.

This mash recipe is wonderful on its own or with pork sausages and onion gravy.
